We are still working hard to end BSL in Ontario. The Ontario
Legislature is now back to work, sadly however our new Premier Kathleen
Wynn is holding strong to Dalton's McGuinty's legacy including holding
on to the current ban.
MPP Randy Hillier is trying to bring back the Bill
re reconsideration through an on line petition and MPP Cheri DiNovo is
asking for people to sign petitions and send them to her so she may read
them in the Legislature. Liberal MPP Kim Craitor as again committed to
backing a bill to remove BSL. We are continuing to try to put pressure
on the Liberal Party to bring Bill 16 to third reading but it does not
look good.
One can only hope that NDP Leader Andrea Horwath
will not uphold this Gov't for very long and their will be a new
election. In the meantime we are working with some celebrities and
hoping to put together some Public Service Announcements that will keep
this issue in the public eye. Paws Crossed.
As yet no specific upcoming rallies are set, but we are also looking at that element as well.
